POLITIKAL.

Ive just perused the news and it seems like property taxes will be going up, w/e from next year. Kinda...sad.

Ive always believed that a Government's primary manifesto is to serve the people, uphold, and protect the interests of the population.

No doubt that increments in taxes are necessary in order to fund the Government's annual expenditure, but it seems to me that Singapore's been having budget surpluses every single year, unlike the United States where they're probably trillions of budget deficits..

Like some other disillusioned Singaporeans, ive lost faith in what we've believed in.

Singapore, a home?

A home where you could see foreigners outnumbering Singaporeans on our public transport system?

A home where you'll have to fork out hundreds of thousands for an apartment whilst you could get a bigger & cheaper one across the causeway?

A home where you'll get billed exorbitantly, in terms of indirect taxes?

A home where even you're own freedom is restricted?

there's just so much more which i probably couldn't phrase it into words...but you'll get the gist.

imma typing this down...because im trying to preserve the remnants of my last ounce of feelings for Singapore.
