YOUR VALUESI was watching this movie - Money No Enough II on Youtube..and this movie actually inspired me for this post. Why? It showcases a typical Singaporean family, and how they actually react to trials and tribulations in the times ahead. No.1 Honour your parents! Nothing is more important than honouring your own parents, and i believe that - parents for what they have done to fill in your life. Everything - money, values, education, hope, dream....and love. Can there be anything else that could replace the greatness of a parent's love? No.2 Get a good spouse who shares the same values as you. The movie's main lead, Jack Neo, was pressured by his wife to treat his mum unfairly, and gave him unnecessary pressure on his mum. Is this necessary? I think otherwise. Remember the no.1 rule when it comes to family -> Family first. Make sure your wife loves your parents. No.3 Your family is more important than your work. If one were to get retrenched tomorrow, he could have been easily replaced. Why do we still put so much effort on - work? There are X amount of careers, but only one family. No.4 Love & Honour one's wife!! A wife isn't someone to throw the blame on, or someone who's there just to take care of one. A wife is someone who's gonna stay with you for life, and she deserves all the warmth and love. No.5 Last, but not least, Respect. Everything in the family deserves respect, big or small. A framework of respect, will build a family with strong values, that are admirable of. |
