The Jetty

by Charis

Seagulls hovering over the blue ocean,
Standing by at the side of the jetty,
Life feels so lonely,
As i gaze up upon the sky,
Peering as the evening sun sets,

Yachts leaving the Marina,
One absolute thing for sure,
My Love will remain,
18 years ive been searching,
Somehow ive found you,

The instant feeling that makes us so special,
for its like stepping into an enchanted garden,
and encountering an angel

Evening sun sets,
but my love for you will rise,
tiny emotion within so little,
but so overwhelmingly huge,
too tight that it binds myself close to you,

I'll never be weary,
for the sparkle in your eyes keep me going,
this beautiful mermaid,
how i wish i could be with you again,
Life holds an entirely new meaning,

As i lay myself down on the beach,
heard a giggle so sweet,
"God, is she beside me now?",
i wondered to myself,
Couldn't find her anywhere,
Where are you - My Dearest?

Never found her,
Strolling by the beach,
Throwing stones into the sea,
A sense of solitude,
as the Waves come and go...
